It’s wonderful to find the same great taste every time I visit! A hidden treasure lies inside this restaurant, which looks ordinary from the outside! Grab your best wine and go enjoy these pizzas! The pear salad and the pea pizza are the best things I’ve ever eaten! Thank you for offering us such amazing flavors! The waiters are always friendly and polite!

This 5-star review is based on the previous incarnation of Bivio and its original owner, Tomasso, who was an absolute artisan and master of his craft. His Neapolitan pizza is one of the top 5 I’ve ever had in the entire world, including in Italy. That’s how great it was. All of his ingredients were imported from Italy, and Tomasso had spent 4 years to create his dough, which was crafted with a 25-year old yeast from an island off of Napoli. I will update this review after I try out the new Bivio under its new management, which supposedly learned everything from Tomasso before re-opening. Stay tuned…

The pizza, staff, and atmosphere are fantastic! I try to make it out here every 3 or so months! They rotate the menu - fresh seasonal ingredients. I'd give them a 9.9/10 (leave some room for improvement 😂). Love the team and what they do! Great Neapolitan pizza!

We came here on a bit of a whim, a place we had only been to once before and figured there was no way there’d be a reservation available. Somehow… there was. Sat at the counter right next to the pizza maker, which turned out to be the best seat in the house. Watching him work was like watching a craftsman in his element. There was no small talk, no theatrics, just pure focus and great pizza coming out of the oven one after another while the place buzzed around him. The owner (who felt like he stepped straight out of Italy) ran the place like a pro, warm welcoming, and clearly proud of what they’re doing. His wife appeared to be running the floor and serving tables, and she was pleasant from the moment we walked in. The whole place has that authentic family-run pizza joint energy. It’s the kind you’d expect to find tucked into a side street somewhere in Italy…except this one had a rail car buzzing past it in Montclair. As if the epic pizza wasn’t enough, the owner even offered us homemade ice cream at the end. Great food, great energy, and that rare “you feel lucky you got a seat” kind of spot. Easy 5 stars

What an experience! The pizza was absolutely delectable! Tasted just like the pizzas in Napoli maybe even better! We tried a seasonal special that had a béchamel base, duck prosciutto, squash and sage. We’re still dreaming about it!! The ambiance was intimate, inviting and felt like home. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The whole experience felt like a warm hug from Italy! We can’t wait to come back soon.
